Project Description
Title: Adrift (Allen)
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
In Adrift (Allen), a lone figure emerges in profile, blurred and partially submerged in washes of blue and green. Rendered in warm coral tones, the subject contrasts sharply with the cool, fluid surroundings—suggesting a presence both visible and overlooked. Inspired by Allen from the Barbie movie, this piece explores themes of isolation, identity, and quiet resilience. While others play out loud narratives, Allen drifts between roles, caught in the in-between. The layered brushstrokes and watery textures evoke the liminality of his existence: always there, rarely seen.
